Look! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s just a book. But hey, it’s my book…

So — you may have heard that I have a new book coming out. I know, this is quite prolific of me, since I had a novel come out last year, but I assure you, I have not become more productive. Rather, it is the lingering aftereffects of the pandemic, and also that the publisher of the mystery novels folded (it’s okay, the books have gone to a far more stable publisher, so all good), which delayed the publication of Deep Roots in the first place. But enough about my sordid past — let’s focus on the present. In brief:

Lines is about possibilities, about the choices we make — or fail to make. It’s a star-crossed love story; it’s a bitter tragedy. It’s about Josh and Abby and their intertwined lives, together and apart, through births and deaths and the beautiful mess in between.

This review does an excellent job of explaining my fifth novel:

“Book Tour”

I was going to call this section Book Tourette, that is, a tiny book tour (à la kitchenette). But then I realized that Tourette is a syndrome and that would’ve been a terrible idea. So, I’ll just put quotes around it instead to denote its diminutive status.

For the first time since 2015, I’m actually making the rounds. In person! So I hope to share physical spaces with you, like in the old days. Here’s the schedule, with accompanying cool graphics:

I may add an event or two in later November or early December, then I’ll be done. So if you are in the area and would like to come out and say hello in person, well, that’d be grand.

I hope you are enjoying the autumn weather as much as I am — this has always been my favorite season. Please feel free to reply to me and say hello!
